Mouna Ragam released in year 1986, is a drama genre tamil language movie produced by G. Venkateswaran and directed by Mani Ratnam.The film starring Mohan, Revathi and Karthik plays lead roles. The film has music composed by Ilaiyaraaja.The film narrates the life of Divya Chandramouli (Revathi), who is robbed of her carefree existence when she is reluctantly marries Chandrakumar (Mohan), who is puzzled by his wife's arrogant nature, which is because of her former lover, Manohar (Karthik) who was shot dead, which she cannot overcome. Whether Divya keeps clinging on to her past or comes to terms with the present and unites with Chandrakumar forms the rest of the story.
