when i want immediate convenient access to music without a file, just online:
computer: youtube lol (i love to listen to music via music video or lyric video)
phone: musi phone app (u can find this on apple app store and an apk for android online)
(this is a free app that takes the sound from youtube videos, can listen to any yt video for free and use other apps & close your phone. everything you can do on spotify just less good quality)

also i still have spotify free on my phone and computer (for now) spotify still makes money off of your data while you still have an account. so id like to cancel my account fully by the end of this year!!! on that note:

how to get playlists off of spotify:
i started by making a playlist of all the songs i wanted to download off of my spotify. i also usually listen to just my liked songs so i copied all my liked songs into a separate playlist and made that into a spreadsheet so i have access to the songs i had liked even when spotify finally burns to the ground. you can do this with any playlist you have access to.
